Swinney quashes Watson injury rumors

by - Assoc. Editor -

Internet and local radio rumors were circulating on Wednesday afternoon that junior quarterback Deshaun Watson had suffered an injury.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney spoke with the media after Wednesday's practice and said there were no new injuries to his football team.

The media then jokingly asked Swinney about naming a starting quarterback for Auburn.

"We will be starting Deshaun Watson, Lord willing, Saturday night," Swinney said with a smile.
