A former 5-star recruit is looking for his fourth CFB home.
UCF junior running back Demarkcus Bowman has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports on Tuesday. This will be his third time entering the portal with previous transfer destinations to Florida and UCF. Bowman totaled nine carries for 32 yards in the first two games of the 2020 season with Clemson. As a freshman, he was third on the depth chart behind star running back Travis Etienne and veteran backup Darien Rencher. After transferring to Florida, Bowman rushed 14 times for 81 yards in four games in 2021. In 2023 with UCF, he had ten carries for 62 yards and a touchdown. So far in his collegiate career, he has had limited playing time, with only 33 career carries for 175 yards in 10 games. Bowman was rated as high as the No. 2 running back in the 2020 class out of Lakeland High School (Fla.) as he rushed for 5,081 yards, including an 11.4-yard per-carry average and 71 touchdowns during his HS career.
