The regular season is 25 percent complete, and Clemson is excelling in several national categories while struggling in a few others.

TigerNet took a few minutes Monday to see where the Tigers stand nationally in several categories and were able to do that thanks to www.cfbstats.com.

If you’ve watched the season’s first three games, you aren’t surprised that Clemson’s defense is trending toward the top nationally, the offense is in the middle of the pack and special teams are struggling.

Where does Clemson rank out of 128 FBS teams?

*Clemson is 36th in scoring offense (36.7 points per game), 59th in rushing offense (188.0 yards per game), 52nd in passing offense (254.0 yards per game) and 50th in total offense at 442.0 yards per game.

*The Tigers are 120th in punt returns, with nine returns for a paltry 12 yards.

*The Tigers are 9th in kickoff returns, with five returns for 153 yards, a 30.60 yards per return average.

*Clemson is 116th in punting, with 17 kicks for 632 yards (37.18 yards per punt).
