Brennan Eagles from Houston, TX (Alief Taylor HS) committed to in-state school Texas on Monday night according to his Twitter account.
"First off I want to thank every college that has given me an opportunity to play for their school and has offered me a scholarship," Eagles posted. "I also want to thank my moms for making it happen for me I couldn't have done it without her and the man above either. The choice, I'm making has been made up by me and my family, but for the rest of my college career I would like to announce that I am committed to the University of Texas." His final group of schools was Florida State, Oklahoma, Clemson, USC, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, TCU, Georgia, and Texas. Eagles recently visited Clemson and received an offer on April 24. He had national offers from Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Memphis, Michigan State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Oregon State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, and others. He plans on playing in the upcoming U.S. Army All-America game. The Clemson coaching staff will now turn their recruiting efforts to Justyn Ross, the talented 5-star receiver out of Alabama. The good news for Clemson is that playmakers will always want to play in his offense so there is no real urgency at this position. @CoachTomHerman IM READY ?? pic.twitter.com/ppwX7WaEig
