Clemson has offered 2019 standout linebacker Owen Pappoe from Loganville, Georgia (Grayson HS) on Monday night according to his Twitter account.
TigerNet spoke with Pappoe moments after his Clemson offer, and he was stunned by the fortunate news. "I am EXTREMELY shocked right now. I had no idea this would happen today," Pappoe said. TigerNet was on hand over the weekend for the Nike Atlanta Opening Regional in which he had the best SPARQ rating ever for a linebacker or freshman and was named SPARQ MVP with a total score of 128.22. Scouting Report: He's young and will add size, but showed exceptional range and hands during Sunday's Nike Combine. He was good in coverage during the 1- on-1 drills and showed sufficient speed. He has excellent instincts for such a young player. Future 4-star at least. His verified measurables at the camp event included a vertical jump of 39 inches, ran a 4.57 40-yard dash, timed at 4.12 in the shuttle and a power ball throw of 42.5 feet. Pappoe has national offers from Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, California, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn State, South Alabama, South Carolina, TCU, Tennessee, Texas-San Antonio, Tulane, UAB, Vanderbilt and West Virginia. He plans to release a list of his top five schools on April 9th.
