Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware was injured in the third quarter against Troy. He was blocked hard on the play by an offensive lineman and was down for a few minutes before walking off the field slowly with the trainers.

Update 1: Danny Poole was testing his right ankle area to see the severity of the injury and the medical staff took him to the injury tent on the sidelines.

Update 2: Boulware was seen with crutches on the sidelines and wearing an air cast boot on his right ankle region.

Update 3: Clemson linebacker Jalen Williams has replaced Ben Boulware at the WILL linebacker position.

Update 4: Boulware was taken to the locker room for more evaluation.

Update 5: Boulware has a sprained ankle according to defensive coordinator Brent Venables. "In his mind, he's going to play next week but we'll see. He's hurt and he's banged up," Venables said to reporters after the game.

Update 6: "I think he got rolled up on his ankle," Swinney said to reporters after the game. "I don’t think it’s too serious but I don’t have any confirmation on anything at this point."
