4-star 2019 linebacker Owen Pappoe released his final three schools on Tuesday night and Clemson made the cut alongside Georgia and Nebraska according to his Twitter account.

TigerNet spoke with Pappoe recently about his thoughts on his recruitment with Clemson.

"It's just the family environment," Pappoe said. "My old head coach is over there now so I know I'll always have people over there that care about me."

Pappoe knows that the schools listed above have good academics so it is just a matter of finding the right fit.

"Seeing how I fit into their defensive scheme is crazy," Pappoe said. "He (Venables) said they want to use me like they use Dorian O’Daniel. We were watching plays, and it was almost like I was watching myself on film."

Clemson is recruiting him as an outside linebacker.

In 2016, he had over 90 tackles and seven sacks during his sophomore season.

Pappoe plans to commit at the Under Armour All-American Game this year or possibly sooner.
