Ticket prices falling to unprecedented levels for Clemson-Alabama

Clemson and Alabama fans headed to Santa Clara, Ca. for Monday night's National Championship game might be surprised seeing some vacant seats at Levi's Stadium.

Why is it that ticket prices are tanking for a matchup of two undefeated powerhouse teams?

"The simple answer here is location and time," Ticket IQ founder Jesse Lawrence told TigerNet. "It's 2,284 miles on average to get to SF. It's also on a Monday night, which means that people have to miss TWO days of work. It would be interesting to see how the numbers would be different if it were a Sat night game, like the Semi. My guess is prices would be 2-3x higher."

This is an excellent opportunity to witness history for Clemson and Alabama fans that live in California.

"This is one of the most price accessible major sporting events we have seen, which is great news if you are a Clemson fan who lives in the Bay Area," SeatGeek said to TigerNet.

Tickets have dropped to under $125 on StubHub, and according to the website, they have over 8,000 tickets available.

Interestingly, StubHub buyers are coming from California (27%), followed by South Carolina (9%), Georgia (8%), Alabama (8%), and Texas.
