Clemson linebacker and Butkus award finalist Tre Lamar was out with an ankle injury in the 56-35 rivalry win against South Carolina.

During Tuesday's press conference, Dabo Swinney updated the linebacker's injury status.

"He looked good and he practiced last week," Swinney said. "He just wasn’t quite confident on gameday. He tried all week but he just didn’t quite feel like he could do what he needed to do. He was back out there last night. I think the rest helped him."

For the season, Lamar has 60 tackles including 3.5 for loss, 2 sacks, and 2 pass-breakups.
