Later next week will come the ACC preseason media poll and more preseason rankings and predictions are around the corner. Football season is about to kick up. Athlon released its bowl and Playoff predictions on Monday, sending the Tigers to an early renewal of the Clemson-Georgia rivalry in the Playoff semifinal Orange Bowl and then a fourth-straight Clemson-Alabama postseason matchup. "The top four teams for the fifth year of the College Football Playoff era could look similar to the final pairings from last season," Athlon's Steven Lassan writes. "The Crimson Tide and Tigers are the pick to meet in the national championship game, with Ohio State and Georgia rounding out the four playoff teams." Other recent Playoff projections include College Football News and Sporting News, which each pit Clemson and Ohio State in the Orange and also Tigers-Crimson Tide in Santa Clara, California come January.
