Clemson jumped in AP Top 25 |
Georgia moved to No. 2 ahead of Clemson in the Associated Press Top 25 on Sunday.
Alabama is the clear No. 1 through three weeks with 58 first-place votes, but despite Clemson's three first-place votes, Dabo Swinney's Tigers dropped below the Bulldogs by a narrow point tally (1,416-1,405). Ohio State and Oklahoma round out the top-5. All improving to 3-0, Alabama rolled Ole Miss 62-7 on the road, while Clemson (38-7 over Georgia Southern) and Georgia (49-7 over Middle Tennessee) took care of business at home versus non-Power 5 teams. Ohio State (40-28 over TCU in AT&T Stadium) and Oklahoma (37-27 at Iowa State) also won by double-digit wins. LSU moved up six spots to No. 6 after a win at Auburn and Wisconsin dropped to No. 18 after a home loss to BYU. Week two opponent Texas A&M debuted in the poll at No. 22, as well as future opponent Boston College (No. 23). This is BC's first appearance in the AP poll since 2008. AP Poll - 9/16 1.
