Clemson guard to play in All-Star game at Final Four

by - Staff Writer -

Clemson senior guard Gabe DeVoe isn't done representing the Tigers as a college athlete.

DeVoe will compete Friday on the East team in the Reese's All-Star Game at 4:30 p.m. EDT in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

DeVoe is coming off of a big finish that included making the Midwest Regional All-Tournament team after scoring at least 22 points over three games. He capped his senior season with 31 points on 10-of-17 shooting to lead a rally in an 80-76 loss to 1-seed Kansas in the Sweet 16.

The Shelby, North Carolina native became the first Tiger to score at least 20 points in three consecutive NCAA Tournament games and the 31 points versus Kansas was a single-game school record.

DeVoe doubled his scoring average this season from his junior campaign, averaging 14.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. He eclipsed the 20-point mark in eight of the last 15 games.
