Qué confrence is Venables's next coachin stop as head coach?

As a fellow SigEp I've really come to respect Lord Brent, though as a Pittsburgh native I often feel he doesn't blitz nearly enough. Maybe w/ solid o-line this season (& reliable running game?) the defensive units won't have to spend unscrupulous amounts of time on the field as we've seen in some recent games to tire out completely, namely that 2nd half against Ga & when FSU put up 50 rather sneeaszily.
I think it's clear Brent'll be in charge of a BigXII squad eventually, possibly any given moment now as current wildcat head coach Snyder is in his mid-70's. (Predicted cause of death? NATURAL, unlike KSU's Bill Snyder Stadium field surface.)
Your thoughts where Venables gets his promotion?

Charlie won't last long enough to straighten that program out. He'll be released and BV will be on the short list. Venables takes less time to impact a program's on the field performance that anyone I've ever seen. I'm sure his opinion is as priceless to me as it is to Dabo and the boys. He and Dabo picked out the perfect secondary coach for our defense.
I also think the disparaging comments about losing all his starters and suggestions that his defense will fall off significantly is driving him and his players toward an outstanding season. The questions are, 'Will BV take a promotion? Is he, or will he ever be, ready to deal with the PITA problems a HC must endure?'

Brent may be the kind of guy that's happy making a $1 Mil +

each year as a D coordinator, his passion, in God's country. I mean, how much do these guys really need to make anyway as it is? Sure, the best in the game possess an uncanny drive, but unlike Chad I don't know that Brent is all that charged up about being a head coach. It's a totally different gig than being a coordinator.

HC. I know this is out there, but Stallings talking up Dabo made it cross my mind.

Im not so sure BV even wants the headaches of being a head coach. Give him talent for his defense, I dont think he looks for a head coaching job for quite a while. At least I hope thats what he is thinking. The man has done an A+ job for us.

I think and hope he is happy here. I think he is more of a team player and hid passion is great defense. All of his energy goes into being the best. He doesn't want to drive the bus. He does want to win championships and I hope we are getting ready to be on a roll. It has been to long since our last one, but for us old timers, that should be the goal in everything we do. It is really hard not to fall in love love with Clemson and want to be there, no matter where you are from. You can go anywhere on vacation Lol
