ESPN on Clemson's toughest remaining game

by - Assoc. Editor -

ESPN's College Football Live spoke about Clemson's toughest remaining opponent on their schedule if the Tigers get by Texas A&M on Saturday night.

Trevor Matich speculated that No. 2 ranked Clemson's toughest opponent left will be Boston College.

"You know, it's easy to say at Florida State because they still have a lot of talent," he said. "But I think at Boston College might be that team. Just because Boston College has two things. They have a great running game. I know there's a great defense on the Clemson side of the ball. But Boston College's running game is a piledriver. But you add to that the fact that on defense Boston College has disruptors, guys that can get behind the line of scrimmage and cause turnovers. You put those two things together, and a couple of bounces of the ball, Boston College has a chance."

The other studio analyst Emmanuel Acho chose the rival Gamecocks as a possible upset over the Tigers.

"I like that Trev, but I'm going to say this," he said. "Everybody in the nation asleep right now on South Carolina. Will Muschamp, third season, head coach. A capable and competent quarterback. Big game against Georgia this weekend. If Muschamp gets that team rolling, you better believe that last game of the season, if South Carolina is firing on all cylinders, they're not going to be worried about Clemson. It'll be a hard fought game."
