Yeah that was a head scratcher but it seems to be more the norm in college football. I’ll never understand the logic.

Could Have had DJ under center with Skalski behind him to give him that extra push.
There....game over....no safety.

Answer is what it is

We have a QB who has never taken snaps under center and a center who has played center 3 games. Safer bet to coaches was do what we do

You may be right that the coaches do not trust 65 and 5. But if you are a CFP team and can’t rely on your center and qb to execute a basic snap under center then get someone in there that can for that situation.

The traditional snap is much easier than a shotgun snap. If we really don't ever practice a goal-line situation with a traditional snap, then we have really, really bad coaches.

It looked like we were trying to lose the game. Luckily, GA. Tech wasn't quite good enough to take it. We better get it fixed pretty soon, or it could get pretty ugly around here. Defense is going to wear out.

Ukelele plays like my 8 year old daughter. No fight in that boy. Kelly Bryant repeat. Look forward to next year.

It amazes me that with that QB and the RB stable that you wouldn't go some two rb sets and maybe shift DJ under center and back with regularity. You can run your entire offense from under center but add the real threat of qb sneaks or 0 power, options etc etc.
Frustrating .

And DJ with his strong arm

Could have simply took the snap and thrown the ball 60 yards, and the game would end. If not, do it again.

Nothing like retreating 3 or 4 yards to pick up 1. Dumbest thing ever in modern football.
