Saw that. These people never learn. Must honestly be delusional or somehow didn’t watch or read about the NATTY.

He probably is the favourite.
The Heisman is a trophy awarded by voters who work in the media. We all know how much the media love Alabama, and by extension Tua. It's nothing but a subjective vote, a popularity contest, voted for by the same talking heads who have been falling over themselves, to find reasons (excuses) for the fact that their beloved Alabama got handed their collective ### in the National Championship game.
If the Heisman was a true reflection of who was the best player in College Football, or even just the best QB, then we all know who would win it.

Then why didn't he win it last year?

It's probably a good move by them.
Bama will run up the scores while Clemson plays a balanced game.
There were several games this season where the running game was great early and Trevor left the game with not much in the way of stats.
I don't expect us to change a thing in the games where we have a big lead.
Bama made sure every game this past season to get Tua his stats before he sat down.
The Heisman is all about hype and stats.
Bama will play enough bad teams that Tua's stats will be ridiculous again.
I would love for a Tiger to win the Heisman so we can check off the final box for the program.
I see it being really difficult for that to happen with the way we sub freely and do the right thing with a big lead.

I agree that Dabo's style of rotating players and not padding stats(I agree with him) makes it more difficult for us to have a Heisman winner.
However, I don't think your opinion on Bama making sure Tua got his stats last season is all that true. Lawrence actually attempted more passes last season(397) than Tua did(355) and that's with Lawrence splitting time with Bryant over the first 4 games, and missing most of the Syracuse game. I think the LSU game was Bama's 9th game and it was the first game that Tua actually played in the 4th quarter.

Clemson exposed him. It'll be Tua Turndaballova this season.

He'll have more picks than a lead guitarist.
IF he survives. Those SEC defenses nearly broke him last year and Saban sure isn't going to take him out of a game.

They also said: Looking for a long shot to win the Heisman next season? Feleipe Franks (Florida), Jaylen Waddle (Alabama), Joe Burrow (LSU) and Keytaon Thompson (Mississippi State) are all 200-1.
They also left out all Pre-SEC QB Jake B. and 2nd team all SEC QB Hilinski.

Defense he crumbles. I'm guessing Westgate is just trying to get the inbred Bama morons to spend their foodstamps to bet on him.
Tua was scared and clueless 70% of that NCG. Still laughing ahhahahaha

As others have mentioned, Tua will be in until the end of games destroying

Teams until they play someone with a pulse on defense. Trevor will be pulled when we are up by 3-4 tds so that he’s not injured and to give other people snaps in case they’re needed. So it’s not that far fetched to think Tua could win it in the regular season. I would like Trevor to winnit but care more about the NC. If he is to win it, I’m hoping he comes in, shows out and makes it obvious his talent level is so much better than the defense that it looks like Tom Brady taking snaps in a preseason game and then gets pulled. Then hopefully it will be obvious to everyone he’s the best.

How many real defenses will he play this year? LSU? AUBURN, Miss St? Is that it?

That he may have video game stats because they’re playing teams that can’t defend him and they won’t pull him. I will be interested to see if Georgia film and our film give some defensive coordinators fodder for game planning against him.

Who cares who wins the Heisman? It no longer stands for anything but politics. They vote before the season is even over--what sense does that make?! It just proves that the decision is made long before play even begins--IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.

For any of these guys to even get a sniff tells me all I need to know about how Westgate ranks their college football players.
Westgate is gonna lose their a$$es this year.

I think you have that backwards.

None of those guys have any real shot of winning the Heisman. If Westgate gets any bets at all on them at 200-1 they are gaining positive equity because all of those guys actual odds of winning are lower than that. Even Waddle - who's a great player and also players for Bama - has far too many things going against him. I think only 3 WRs have ever won the Heisman and Desmond Howard was the last to do it way back in 1991. On top of that Bama has several other very talented WR targets including Jerry Jeudy who may be even better than Waddle. And even if Waddle has a tremendous year and is the best WR in the country, Tua will likely still be ahead of him in the Heisman pecking order since he's getting all of those yards too.
Franks and Burrow are like league-average starting QBs that both schools would be happy to replace if they had anyone better. They have no shot at all of actually winning the Heisman. Only the most steadfast Florida and LSU homers would bet anything on them and Westgate would be happy to pocket that money.
Keytaon Thompson at least has some potential upside. It would take a massive, massive leap for him to get into the Heisman conversation and that almost certainly won't happen, but at least there's some dark horse potential there. We already know what Burrow and Franks and know they aren't capable of playing at a Heisman level.
