That's messed up. Hopefully they fix this situation and let Blanks on the sideline.

Yeah that is pretty messed up, especially considering they just let Spiller and Boyd on the sideline. I know they're arguably the best Tigers ever at their position, but they aren't on NFL Rosters either.

I wonder what the rule is. You can't let every former player

be on the sidelines for the biggest home game of the year because there are so many requests for that game. They probably do ease the rule for one game a year though: Homecoming.

He needs to place a call to Coach and get this fixed! Wrong on many levels.

Coach needs to place a call with him and get this right. He would have been an NFL player if not for injuries. He will be a great coach because a great athlete and student of the game during his playing career.

Well, you gotta draw the line somewhere or you'll have 200-300 ex-players all milling around the sieline. You can't have that.
That said, Blanks was a freshman All-American, he was certainly on the NFL track...until two knee injuries basically destroyed his career.
The easy way for Clemson to fix this without opening the floodgates is with an injury exemption. I'd say Blanks' case definitely warrants one.

Easier way to fix it is just make it first come first serve assuming they left the team in good standing.

So they should issue sideline passes to any letterman that wants one? Seems the sideline would be pretty crowded. That said, I don't think it's fair to issue to Tajh and not anyone else who played.

To be fair, Boyd & Spiller should get preferential treatment

Those two have likely done more for the football program than any other guys the last 20 years. All players aren't and shouldn't be treated the same.

About the Louisville game and not the SC state game. He wasnt trying to get sideline passes for sc state he's wanting tickets to be the biggest game of the year. He will still probably get them but he could have come to Troy or sc state if he wanted to. Everyone wants o come to the Louisville game and the sideline passes have most likely been reserved for weeks now.

Everyone in the "family" should be treated the same. Like I said, Tajh and CJ aren't on rosters either.

Do you even know the circumstance?! Do you know what game? Do you know if there have been 100 requests for sideline passes for the UL game? Maybe they're limiting the number of passes to the biggest game of the year because everyone wants one. People like you who make ridiculous demands typically have never had responsibility over anything significant and can't understand the dynamics. Give it a rest until you know all the facts.

Tough situation and I can see both sides. The problem

usually arises because the way something like this is handled. We don't know what the rules are and how they are applied, but they should be applied fairly regardless of who the players are. The fact that one guy was a "star" does not mean that he did not sacrifice as much as the star.
