The SEC and Clemson is a done deal !

The deal is...it ain't going to happen. There is no reason for it. Their are only 3 million residents in South Carolina and most will watch the SEC anyway. They could care less that we fill our stadium....they have no problems with their stadiums being filled....(unlike Miami and Duke)...They would go after VT and NC St. or if possible UNC or Fla. St. because of the population in upper state of Florida or the entire state of Virginia and North Carolina. It will be either the B12 or the ACC for us.....that is all.

While I do not disagree with the premise that the SEC probably will not be interested in Clemson versus other possibilities, the population of South Carolina is close to 5 million.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. Regardless of the correct population size of SC, it pales in comparison to the states of North Carolina and Virginia.

Actually people in NC and VA are already watching the SEC. It is on CBS every week on the the NC and VA channels. Also the SEC Network is in most all markets in NC and VA. And lets we all know that they get ESPN.
The difference in TV comes from the likes of the Big Ten Network.

There is no SEC Network, yet. There will be soon.

And the fees that the SEC would get through its network will be considerably more in a new market than an existing market. That's why they will go to NC and VA when the time is right.

The SEC isn't run by a group of morons who think you can

improve a conference by opening up "new TV markets".
The SEC is the dominant conference both on the field and on the TV. They already have the best TV deal around. If they brought in FSU and Clemson, they would have CFB locked up. The real championship game would be the SEC championship game. They would have a monopoly on football in the Southeast, and really, in the nation.
