Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said on his Tiger Calls show that he expects a special atmosphere this weekend for the noon game with Georgia Tech Saturday. He said "rinse and repeat" whatever you were doing last Saturday in the stadium.
"We need our crowd. They were awesome. Hopefully I don't have to make everybody mad this week to make everybody show up, but if that's what it takes, I'll do it," Swinney said jokingly, referring to last week's Tiger Calls and Tyler from Spartanburg.

one could argue this energy has been missing since 2018
and is responsible for a decline

When has our crowd not been awesome? He wants us to believe all that was on purpose? And the crowd is responsible for our putrid record. Sometimes he would be a lot better off just not saying anything.

I really think he was referring to noon crowds. He’s said as much in other comments. I dread them because the crowd doesn’t get as rowdy as a 3:30 or nighttime game and the crowd does make a difference

The crowd Saturday felt different to me. I don’t know what it was but it felt different in a good way right from the start. The FSU crowd and last week were two of the better crowds since 2018. Part of that is that our home schedule has lacked some juice for a few years. Just my opinion.

Hard to get the Juices flowing for a noon games if you know what I mean, as we have had quite a few in the last several years! Drive up get to your space around (9:30 ) set up eat a bite and may only get one or two juices in you before game time! Probably twice as hard for the students! 3:30pm games or later there is no excuse!

No excuse for needing “juice” to get up for a game. Before the bashing starts, I drink my share while tailgating too. But I don’t need liquid courage to get loud in Death Valley. As far as the students go, all the games were 1:00 when we were in school and breakfast was beer.

The tailgating is 30% of the experience of what makes going fun. You also must not have to drive very far to get to the games. Anyone can scream but a few beverages does help to loosing the vocal cords. How many families you think would show up over the years if you couldn't tailgate but for an hour or 2?
Didn't mind 1pm games back then, because I did not live but 30 minutes away and traffic was a lot less back then. I have done it with my parents and my children and now my Grandchildren for over 54 years. SO when you have to travel two hours without game traffic to Clemson, It sucks and it is just harder to get the juices going that early for most people but I will be there Saturday pulling as hard for our Tigers as I always do!!
