Shy Tuttle ?
Jun 10, 2014, 1:37 PM
|
|
I keep reading a lot about Shy Tuttle on our boards. The concensus seem to think that he's going to UNC and we don't really have a chance with him. My question is this; Is he in Dabo's camp this session, or scheduled to be in the next session? When is the last time he visited Clemson, and are we in his top group of schools that he's considering? Does anyone know the answers to these questions? I'm just curious as to wether we really do have a chance getting his commitment. Thanks

Currently I don't think he's coming to the camp but that could change. As far as I know the last time we had him on campus was last year sometime. We're #2 on his list if that means anything.

Interesting since UNC may be headed for NCAA trouble again. I don't know where the revelations that keep on turning up concerning impropriety with academic cheating and lack of institutional control are heading, but it may be bad for them and for this young man if he chooses them. He should keep that top of mind before making a decision he might regret. JMO

been to Tennessee 4 times since then ,a legacy recruit whos uncle caught the winning catch in the Orange Bowl against Nebraska, and Danny Pearman is the lead recruiter so our chances of getting him are slim and none.

We did a poor job recruiting Mike and even poorer job on Shy. Perry is not in our corner on this one but Pearman is the worst recruiter on our staff.

There were other RBs that were higher on our list, so we didn't recruit Davis that hard. We just barely missed out on Gurley and Marshall.

You are absolutely right. Mike Davis never even gave us a good look. I really am glad he went somewhere else if he didn't want to be all in with our program. I wished him no bad will, but kudos to Dabo and our coaching staff on not expending energy where we are not in the picture at all. It was James Davis who really wanted Mike to come to Clemson. I don't think Mike ever was interested, for whatever reason.

So, your position is that you are satisfied with the number of recruits we have signed from the Charlotte area?

If shy Tuttle was at camp trust me everyone would have known. Every one knew huggins was there and he didn't even work out yesterday. Shy hasn't visited since the uga game but has visited unc, ncstate, and Tennessee on multiple occasion. We are in with Settle and jones.

What does my question have to do with STS? You are mistaken if you think that I have some connection to that website or the people associated with it.
Similar to your criticism of STS that you expressed recently, I think that STS's criticism of Danny Pearman as it pertains to Charlotte is valid.
Would you answer my question please?

Shy Tuttle ? My guess
Jun 10, 2014, 9:44 PM

Just my guess as to why Shy hasn’t shown any interest — May be the fact we have shown no interest in his cousin, Perry’s son, who is a WR. Runs sub 4.4—40.
Hard to use the family connection when you leave out one closer to the original member.
Offer him a greyshirt like the Davis twins & you up your chances
