He sure as heck doesn't want his candidates flying out to freaking Lubbock, TX before they get the job. What a complete hell hole to live in.

Well his bio that i found says he is from Edgewood, TX. Edgewood, TX is 6 hours and 30 minutes away from Lubbock, TX. I don't know what every place 6 hours and 30 minutes away from me looks like.
Maybe that bio is wrong. I think some of you are underestimating the size of Texas.

I've driven to Lubbock non-stop from the CSRA area of SC.

I'm not underestimating anything about Texas. As a matter of reference, when you reach the LA/TX border, you are just over halfway to Lubbock. Just the same, Morris KNOWS.

Every place within 6 hours that has a major D1 college football program when you are dreaming to be a head coach ... you know exactly what the area is like.

That argument is the equivalent of saying Dabo Swinney knows exactly what the Vanderbilt Program and area is about without ever visiting.

tigerboy98,
Yes. Do you know how big Texas is? It is like having 3 different states of South Carolina and mash them together. This is the equivalent of Dabo Swinney know all about the University of Indiana and its football program.
You would need to drive through Texas one time to fully understand just how big it is. It literally could be divided up into East, Central, and West Texas.

Texas has almost every climate imaginable... and Lubbock just happens to be in the "hell on earth" portion of Texas.
