Who cares what the media thinks anyway? Games are won on the field. FSU should be favorites until someone knocks them off. #gotigers

You are exactly right. They will make their biases known to the public, meaning they will have the easy part done. Just spot the ball and wait to see how it ends up at the end of November. I'm positive that none of them will win a game while talking about it. I hope they pick us to be 3d or 4th in the ACC. We have always played better when the media has no faith in our guys ability to win.

Sorry but teams lose guys every year......

.....its the way of life in college football you only get these guys for a short time then they're off to their respective careers. After 3 games last year there wasn't a sole Clemson fan telling themselves that we couldn't lose Lakip but after 3 games and some settled nerves he settled in pretty nicely. Spence is a unknown so you can't say one way or the other about him its a let's wait and see type thing. I don't know that the Ebo thing hurts at all and I know he had a couple years in the system but even then he could never get his head screwed on right and like you David, I don't know that he would have been more than a special team player and an end of a blow out DE but I could have been wrong. Battle was good but he sure wasn't without fault there were times where he was lazy or to slow to get to the outside and block on a WR screen or RB screen. Hyatt to me is a stud this kid was bred to be a LT whereas Battle played basketball most of his younger career and was a project but Hyatt is a football player. He comes in more polished than maybe any o-lineman before him here at Clemson. Plus David you forgot to mention Jay Guillermo back working out with the team. Now I don't know his status as far as coming back healthy and in shape but having him back has to be a relief. Don't get me wrong it is WAY WAY better to have these 3 men on the team but you have to do whats best for the program and these players plus its not like we are pulling guys off the street we have some pretty good talent here at Clemson.... P.S. I think it was going to be hard to keep Hyatt off the field whether LT or RT....

DW played more than 3 quarters against FSU last year...

and Clemson DID NOT win the game.
Football is not a one-man sport, and anyone ignoring the questions at OL, the gutting of the kicking game, the youth on the D, and the lack of a continuation of leadership from last year's team
has time warped back to 2008 in a DeLorean. The (Bowden) King is dead; long live the (Saban) King!
If this team wins 2 of 3 against Louisville, USuCk, and Miami on the road, and holds serve for 2 of 3 against Ga Tech, Notre Dame, and FSU at home,
it should be viewed as a major accomplishment by TigerNation.
But I fear our corporately over-optimistic egos have been allowed to run rampant again....
Long live the (Ego) King!!!

Hey Vegas and the media cannot determine the hearts of the Clemson Tigers...that is okay...I think the Tigers will be there at the end, because they have been considered underdogs for a long time. They play their hardest and work their best when they are being questioned about their abilities, these Tigers will take this info and use it to better themselves. I have no doubt they will work to be contenders in every aspect of the game. Okay, Tigers, no one is writing you off, but they are still not looking at your determination and heart that drives you. I believe in you and I know you will do good. Hope some of you read this and show all doubters who the real TIGERS are. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!

The old cliche' "games are won and lost in the trenches"

is usually correct. So who will step up and support D-Wat as he leads this team to victory? That is the question. In my mind, Clemson & Ga T are the favorites to win the ACC. Both of us have FSU at home.

Tigers just RELOAD David! David should be suspended for 3 games. Must have been smoking or inhaling something!

I understand people can look at listed "starters" different ways. But my numbers don't add up. DW4, Gallman, Williams , Scott, Peake(started before injury), Leggett(keep hearing things but right now is still starting), and depends on how you look at things. But Norton and Guillermo have started games. And I think as long as Guillermo does fine this summer he will start at C and Norton will move to LG. so that is 8 people starting with plenty of "starting experience and maturity. And on Defense we didn't lose another starter. Ebo was not a starter, and we have a wealth of experience coming back. I think everyone just needs to take a deep breath. Let the summer play out and see how things go.

the other teams listed with & above clemson might have similar stories of starts, hopeful starts & experience.
steele welcomes any suggestions, changes or corrections in explaining the chart.
as for the image, it's more for effect on my part, still there's reality to what's been lost & what must be replaced.
in recent ~weeks 2 starters were lost & someone that was to be counted on significantly along the dline is gone as well.
it's all about conversation and i don't need to take a deep breath to have one.

We will be better off seeing 5 star Hyatt playing for a full 3 years with Fruhmorgen or any of the others as backup this year. Battle just did not get it. Poison! We have better talent today than we have had on OL then we have had for a long time. We have enough experience in Norton,MacLain,Gore,Guillermo, Crowder and Morris. Hyatt and Fruhmorgen are really redshirt freshmen going through spring ball. Plus with Wofford and App st, they both will have the experience needed to surpass/equal inconsistent Battle. Trust me if Dabo and company really thought Hyatt could not handle LT then Battle would still be here but in the doghouse. I truthful believe Hyatt may have pasted Battle at sometime during the season. He is a rare talent pure LT.

Uneasy feeling yes, but not hopeless bc we have recruited quite well our selves. And just bc a 5 star recruit chooses Fla. St., they don't become a 6/7 star like the media believes.
