J Scott will be Morris OC if Dabo doesn't promote him to OC

Chad and Jeff Scott are really tight now. If Chad get a head coaching job, it's pretty much understood that Jeff will be his Offensive Coordinator where ever he goes if Dabo doesn't promote him to Clemson's Off Coordinator.
So if we lose Chad there's a chance we'd lose Jeff too.

Dabo may not, the last time he did the same thing, he got crucified for it.

I think he would do well. I liked his old man as OC as well. Should have left him in that position longer if you ask me.

Billy and Dabo have diametrically opposed philosophies regarding offensive schemes.

alma mater. I think he'd love to coach under Morris as OC for a few years to build his resume and eventually get back to Clemson.
Dabo will have a ton of money and a lot to sell a new OC. I doubt Jeff Scott will be that person in short term. But I think he'd love to come back in a few years.

Chad calls all the plays. He won't need an OC.

tight, why would Jeff stay at Clenson? Seems like if the positions were equal, he'd stick with the guy that can actually teach him something. Hope none of it matters.

You Seriously Think That Chad Morris

is going to relinquish play calling responsibilities once he becomes a head coach? Being an OC and not having play calling responsibilities is meaningless as far as career advancement is concerned.
What or who is your source in regards to the closeness between Chad Morris and Jeff Scott?

It's not meaningless to be the OC & not call plays..

Here is why. He has already learned a lot being under Chad, but if he takes on the title of OC as well he'll be almost assured 1. Being able to venture out on his own as an OC or 2. Be set up to move into a HC position one day. Case in point about being the guy without being the guy is Pruitt at UGA. He admitted that as the DB coach at Bama he wasn't really....Saban was. He landed a DC job out of that.
Happens a lot.
Jeff will make a fine HC some day. He did an awesome job at Blythewood High as their HC. If I remember right they won a state title in his 1st or 2nd year.

I don't think that there are many prominent football organizations that would hire an OC that had no experience calling plays.
If Jimbo were to be honest, I bet that he'd inform you that he hired Pruett for two reasons: 1. The Alabama name recognition, and 2. Pruitt's recruiting accumen.
I have no doubt regarding Mr. Scott's intelligence, I just think that this would be a bad business decision.
