I sorta agree with Firebaum's assessment of last yrs Natty...

That the score made the game look closer than it was, that Bama had dominated on STeam play, that Clemson had made a lot of errors in their D backfield coverage especially in 4th quarter, etc.
That said our Tiger Team had a chance to win & could have won, but didn't. Sorta hard to do playing with 8 UnderArmour A-A's to Bama's 76 (This year it's 10 to 60).
New year & time to win..Go TiGER's!!

I wouldn't say the score looked closer than it was.

We had them in a 2nd and 12 with 4 minutes left and down 5. We had a real chance of getting the ball back to DW4 with ~3 minutes to go and a chance to take the lead. Everyone knows what happened next, but we were maybe 1 tackle away from taking that game to the wire with a chance to win it.

Scott dropped a TD in the endzone and we had to kick a FG , Lots of PI went uncalled on Renfro and Leggett ,.
I hope we get some good officials that have bama fatigue . Their defense holds a lot , not to mention their OL .

Scott did not "drop a TD in the endzone". The DB had an arm in and pulled the ball out. The DB made a textbook play.

He was tickled to death we loss. He is a Saban lover and this year he has made it clear CU does not have a chance in hell of winning.

They say hindsight is 20/20, but not for Finebug. We were in it until the end and could have won if not for a key (lucky) play or two on their end.
Remember that Finebug's paycheck is very closely aligned with how well he gets SEC fans stoked up. Take him with a grain of salt and remember him when he shows up in Tiger Town for ESPN Game Day next year.

game not so close?

b/c we should have been up more, right? Dunno know what game you watched. We had wide open busted coverages, lost our best db early, etc etc. Finebaum makes me want to throw up and has his Bama glasses firmly planted on his face. There is NOTHING about him or his accounts to agree with. It's time to spot the ball for sure and let everyone be quiet and stop all the posturing.

If you saw him in the interview with Boyd last year at FanCentral it was the same story. It was my son who called him out at the end during the Q&A session. "NotSoFine" couldn't come up with an answer so they cut his microphone.
What you didn't see was that after all of that was over Boyd came down and found my son and talked with him thanking him for asking to "right" questions. Funny thing is Boyd started following him on Twitter and chatted with him a couple times.
My kid, 22 year old, is also the one that went viral with with this sign at game day

Busted coverage and ST play cost the Tigers the win. Period.

Our offense outscored their defense 40-37 ... & still lost!

It was THAT close.
Both offenses scorched the opposing defenses and it took a couple of huge special teams plays for Bama to win the game at all.
To infer that the game was "not as close as it appeared" is just wrong.
If anything, it was actually a lot CLOSER than it appeared.
