Hurts badly to say this ... but

as an avid Clemson fan since 1960, I think that MY Tigers quit on me in the UGA game. They let the game become much worse than it was. This happened in the WV Orange Bowl as well and I was sure it would be the last time. Please don't let it happen again Saturday. When you get hit in the mouth, don't roll over. Toughness counts in football.

Tigers have not done that since Orange Bowl vs. WVU. The FSU game was just a gameplan gone wrong that snow piled.

I did not include the fsu game in my post. The Georgia game was pitiful for more than a quarter! If you are half trying you don't let players run around you like that!

That is getting to be the oldest retort ever, but ok, keep it up, trying to have an educated discussion here, amongst college grads. NP.

that were taking the team to Howard's Rock. There was no excitement, no chatter, no animation among the players. I commented to my wife that the team had the air of defeat about them before the game even started.

I wondered the same thing, that bus ride where the players knew they were being televised whilst the Seminoles sat in a locker room was a point of worry for Tiger fans in hindsight, one team being highlighted before the game and the other waiting like a baited tiger, no pun. Maybe it backfired, game result says so. I am just guessing, but think on it, you need to bring the players on the field at game time in the right frame of mind. What was the score? I really do forget because it was bad.

Seems like they quit every year against spurrier.
I liked Ford's teams. you may beat us but we did not quit.
Swinney just does not have what it takes to beat Jimbo and Spurrier
Spurrier is out hiring the best assistants available and swinney is hiring his church buddies.
Swinney has peaked at 6-8 wins a year against the likes of weak forest.

did Danny ever get blown out and I don't remember any or enough to call it a pattern. If I remember correctly, players would state that they dare not lose on Sat because they knew what was waiting for them on Monday if they did. Who knows though and I'm def all in. When you say your Tigers do you include the play calling? That was an odd 1 1/2 quarters ending that game.

Question: Did Danny ever ride the team around TE stadium in a bus on National TV before a big game? Prob not. He was focused on having the team in the right frame of mind. Maybe the whole bus thingy on Natty TV worked against that philosophy. Maybe?

Discipline....There's your answer, FT. I like the adage:

when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Most of us here on TigerNet, other than our youngsters, have had to face mighty battles in our lives. We've learned that succumbing to adversity always results in defeat. When we muster true mettle within ourselves, we can amaze ourselves and others with our ability to persevere over those trials.
I'm going to believe that our staff has disciplined themselves and our men for the battle on Saturday, for that discipline will surely be tested to the nth degree.

Think you would do the bus ride thing again vs. FSU last year if given a choice? The Noles were waiting and watching in the tunnel, you tell me.

lets go ahead and cut the D a break. Way too much was asked from them in that second half...especially when you've got that caliber backs that UGA has.
The O on the other hand...sounded like that was on Chad. Too safe play calling...now I think he learned a lesson.
