Has Clemson closed the gap against FSU?

Reality check for both teams in Tallahassee.
After 2 uninspiring wins, IMO the Noles will peak for this game.

People keep forgetting we fumbled on the first play. Without that play the game would have been much much closer. Sure the score looked bad but if you think FSU is on a completely different level than Clemson you are mistaken. I hope the FSU players feel the same way and Clemson comes to play.

TU! That play changed the whole dynamic of the game and never really told the true story...

year.
Y'all had one of your best games of the year against us. We had one of our worst. I will say, there is still a gap but it is not a canyon.
My one other observation about last year. Clemson was not ready for the hype. I think they said up to 50 to 75 interviews were conducted before the game. There was a lot of build up. We did not handle that very well. So, it was a lesson for those still on the team.
I look forward to a competitive game.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Clemson was not ready for the hype"
And who's fault is that?

Once we do that, we should be close.

Uhhh, FSU is 5-6 against Clemson since 2003.

I guess the better question is, has FSU closed the gap?
November 8, 2003 Clemson, SC Clemson 26 #3 Florida State 10 September 25, 2004 Tallahassee, FL #8 Florida State 41 Clemson 22 November 12, 2005 Clemson, SC Clemson 35 #17 Florida State 14 September 16, 2006 Tallahassee, FL Clemson 27 #10 Florida State 20 September 3, 2007 Clemson, SC Clemson 24 #21 Florida State 18 November 8, 2008 Tallahassee, FL #24 Florida State 41 Clemson 27 November 7, 2009 Clemson, SC Clemson 40 Florida State 24 November 13, 2010 Tallahassee, FL Florida State 16 Clemson 13 September 24, 2011 Clemson, SC #21 Clemson 35 #11 Florida State 30 September 22, 2012 Tallahassee, FL #4 Florida State 49 #10 Clemson 37 October 19, 2013 Clemson, SC #5 Florida State 51 #3 Clemson 14

and the answer is FSU closed the gap created from '03-'09 when Clemson was 5-2, by going 3-1 since '10.
There's an obvious gap since Dabo became your coach. Daba is 2-4 vs FSU with a 2 game losing streak. Fisher is 3-1 vs Dabo.

I don't think there was an obvious gap in '12

The only times you guys clearly looked better than us was '10 and '13. And wouldn't you agree that while your team last year was better than Clemson, you probably weren't 37 points better? I think that blowout and the championship has kind of skewed FSU fans' and the media's perspective of the series, whereas from some Clemson fans' perspective it was a fluke.

The reality:
NO team....home or away, recovers from two or three very early turnovers!!
FSU took advantage! The crowd had the wind taken from them, thus the team lost the will to fight!
This year, I hope we return the favor in kind!
Go Tigers!!!!

I think the entire side line of Clemson should hold crab legs in there hands with lots of butter and lemon and start boiling right there ..

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to win this game, but I also don't think the FSU we have seen the past two weeks is indicative of how loaded this team is.
We are going in as dogs for a reason...hopefully we can prove them wrong.
Also, make no mistake about it. This is the ACCCG.

and suddenly FSU is head and shoulders above Clemson's program? I certainly don't see it that way. Over the past 10 years this has been a close rivalry. We have recruited competitively with FSU over that same time span. Because of your dominance in the 90's FSU fans tend to have an inflated self worth, but let's not kid ourselves, in the 2000's your program was mediocre at best. Clemson is not immune to this inflated ego syndrome either. Our success in the 80's caused our head size to far out weigh our performance on the field during the 90's and early 2000's. Sometimes it is hard to admit that your favorite team just isn't all that great, but that is exactly what both teams were during the 2000's. So far this decade both programs have been on the rise. Last year, the pieces came together perfectly for FSU and you were able to reach the top of the mountain. You should be commended for that. But make no mistake, both programs can see the pinacle from where they have positioned themselves this decade. There is no gap, in talent, in coaching, or in facilities. Now it's just about who's willing to scratch and claw to reach the top.
