So, NCAA is one half. Dabo makes it a full game. Will the ACC interfere? If it were UNC, they'd challenge the NCAA minimum, but since we're not from tobacco road...

Since it happened in the 2nd half, it's a 1 game suspension

no matter what.
The extra practice work is exactly what my approach would be as well.

It was reminiscent of Mike Tyson's upper cut, very compact and quick!

If that is the true reason, free Battle now. And let him play!!! If someone ever spits on me, I don't care where we're at, plenty of rights and lefts are going to rain down hard.

Most likely justifiable, but you know what they say, the second person always gets caught.

if you re-watch the game, on the 2nd play, Boyd and this guy head butt one another after the play.
Haven't watched closely enough to see if the guy was an issue anywhere else during the game

NOT justifiable, punching a player is NEVER an acceptable

response to trash talking. On or off the field. Physical battery is NOT an appropriate response when somebody says something you dont like.

Did you EVER play a down of football? I doubt it. I don't

condone punching anyone but in the heat of the moment on a football field (or any sporting venue) stuff happens. As a high school player I punched someone during a basketball game. Did he deserve it? You dammn right he did. Should I have done it. Of course not! I was a kid. Battle is a kid. We all make mistakes. It happens. If he makes the same mistake twice then we have a problem. I learned from mine. Its a violent game with a ton of emotion if you give a crap about what you are doing. It's done and can't be undone. Trust the coaches to teach Battle how to move forward from here (with discipline). Now, can we PLEASE let this go?

There is no way in H&LL or high water I could ever respect a man that let another man spit on him for free. He "MUST" pay the price for that type of total disrespect!!!

"Swinney said that type of thing will not be tolerated from Battle ever again at Clemson."
Sounds like he's giving Battle a message. BTW, what a cool name for a football player - "Isaiah Battle"

Glad Dabo feels the way he does and the punishment fits

the "crime" ....otherwise we could end up like USuCk down the road with the 5 strikes and you're out program.
I love that Dabo holds these kids to a standard and expects the BEST out of them at all times!!!

He was on the sidelines laughing about it! Obviously no one knows all the facts here, but it appears that he ought to get some punishment for his behavior afterwards as well. Carolina move no matter if he was "provoked" or not & such an idiot when he could have been in line for more PT.

yea yea you know everything that was going on, don't you. How do you know he was laughing at what he did on the field or at something a teammate said to him. What all of us should do is shut up about it and let the coaches handle it.

he was laughing at what he did. "SHOWING REMORSE" as Dabo says would mean he was sorry & felt bad for what happened----laughing is not a sign of feeling bad.

It's not like our coaches were over there fighting on the sidelines.
And sometimes you just gotta tighten a M@^%@&-&(#%*% up.
