I saw Parks back in the game.
I think I saw Tre Williams play last night. We need to get XT back healthy and get a fully healed Sheridan Jones and Mukuba. Covil I believe landed on the ball and should be okay from what I could tell. I was pretty sure he got back in there.

No doubt, Parks came right back in after 1 or 2 series. Did not see Covil come back but I did see who came in. So obviously, Covil is our third string strong safety. When Mickens went down I was concerned. It became apparent quickly that he was done for the game as he was standing with other injured players and I don't think he was even holding a helmet. So on Covil's brief stint - he was having trouble getting lined up and looked exactly like what he is - a third string guy who has played very little. So when he went out with his injury I knew what was coming. The two deep safeties were TV and JP. Took just a few plays before they hit the big pass down to the 5 yard line. Would guess the corners were Wiggins and Toriano Pride - not sure about nickel since Greene has been out multiple games and we're constantly shifting bodies to cover the injuries. Glad the game ended when it did because we had run out of bodies that can cover and high point the ball at safety. Crossing my fingers that Mickens can make it back for BC since Makuba is limited and will miss the first half. If Jones and Green could get back our problems would diminish as Green can play almost anywhere. I think your guess on Covil is correct from what I could see. If he gets back and gets some practice reps he might be fine. Hope we get some of these guys back - it got dangerously thin at the end.

You are correct sir. My error. I know his range of movement is limited on his injured arm. I guess he played corner because he is our best DB be it corner or safety. I imagine if Mickens is a go he stays at corner and if Mickens is out he rotates back to safety. Or maybe Sheridan Jones takes over at corner if he makes it back. Lots of options if we get a couple back. Makuba at 90% beats a lot of other scenarios although I hate to see Mickens come off the field. Thanks for the correction - I will sleep a little better.

It's also for his best interest; since he can't seem to get over 185 lbs. Not many safeties in the league at 185. So, if he can play CB equally well; he's good to go.

Yes, he was listed as 187 coming out of high school and has not gained a pound in over a year. Would just about guarantee that he's much stronger but has a tough time adding weight.

think you are right about having Makuba at CB, best option available due to all the injuries! Let's hope we get them all back this week! Great atmosphere last night, can only help our recruiting! Go Tigers!

…to our D. I never heard anything about what happened to him. I think it might’ve happened in practice.
