We may feel the pain of that loss in Columbia for years. Following it, we now have our first 10-win season and ACC championship in 20 years. We're playing in a BCS game that every high school recruit in the country can watch. To add to the pain, ESPN has listed us as having the #5 recruiting class right now. Plus, pretty much our whole team is coming back. Jesus help us.
Meanwhile, South Carolina is reaping the benefits. They will play at 1 p.m. on Jan. 2 when every high school recruit is in class. They stand to win a greater punishment from the NCAA than Ohio State did (worse penalties and repeat offenders). And, to give them even more of an edge, their recruiting class isn't projected in the top ten.
I, for one, am still reeling from the pain of this loss. How about you?
