Florida Tiger enjoying the moment

Growing up a Clemson fan in Florida, these FSU games have always meant a little bit more to me. Unfortunately, I grew up in the Tommy West and Tommy Bowden era and never experienced the Danny Ford days. I only heard stories of the legend of Danny Ford and his defenses. I did get to see some old VHS tapes of recorded games growing up. One of my favorites was one I use to watch with my grandpa. The 1989 Clemson vs FSU game. I can remember the first time I watched it not being able to believe we went into Doak Campbell and basically ran over FSU. (Remember, I grew up in the 90’s) Wayne Simmons one handed pick six was a thing of beauty.

Anyways…… growing up a Clemson kid in Florida was pretty tough. No other Clemson fans around. None of the other kids even knew who Clemson was half the time, but when we played FSU and that was never a good thing. I guess that is why I dislike FSU the most. They are closely followed by UGA in my teams I dislike the most. South Carolina is a school I don’t like, but I more just look down on them then anything. They’re beneath us and not really worth my energy. I think Dabo said it best when he said that it was more like a domination than a rivalry. I know we need FSU to be better for the ACC, but I can’t help myself. I want them to lose every game they play. I want them to lose in practice if that is somehow possible.

Well fast forward and it is now 2022. No more Tommy West 90’s football. We are now the premier team of the ACC and one of the top programs in all of college football. We have a 7 game winning streak against the Noles and I’m enjoying the moment. I hope we absolutely demolish FSU today. Go Tigers !!!!……

FSU is a joke and Clemson will win by 35+pts. We're back. It's Championship season.

Grew up in Florida as a Gator fan; educated at Clemson

Despise UGA and FSU. Was instilled in me at a young age on the rough beaches of NE Florida.

But from a business point of view I hope FSU keeps going in what is seemingly and finally the right direction. Good for college football to have FSU competitive again. But that is just business.
