says his visit to Clemson couldn’t have gone any better.

Baker, a 3-star defensive back prospect out Hollywood (FL) Chaminade Madonna, talked to TigerNet just as he was boarding a flight back to Florida Sunday morning and he said his 48 hours in Clemson was all he could have asked for.

“It was great, and I got to meet a lot of great people.” Baker told TigerNet. “Travis Blanks was a great host, and I had a great time. And my grandma really liked it, too. She had a great time.”

Baker, a Florida St. commitment, arrived on campus Friday.

“We went to Vickery Hall and then we toured the football facilities with Coach [Brent] Venables,” he said. “Then Travis and I went to dinner and then we just hung out at his apartment.”

On Saturday, Baker got to meet a Clemson legend, and then got to spend some 1-on-1 time with head coach Dabo SwinneyDabo Swinney

“I got to meet Jeff Davis and talk to him,” he said. “He is a really great guy. And then I got to talk to Coach Swinney and he told me that [secondary] Coach [Charlie] Harbison was leaving to go to Auburn. I told him that didn’t matter to me, because I had already been through that with Florida St. It really doesn’t change what I think about Clemson.”

Baker said he spent just a few minutes with Harbison on the trip.

“I spent a little time with him before he took the Auburn job,” Baker said. “He really didn’t say a whole lot. I am sure we will talk, and I will probably call him later.”

Baker said there were several highlights on the trip.

“Spending time with Travis and going to the basketball game were things I will remember,” he said. “The atmosphere at the basketball game was great. We got there in the second half, and it was rocking that was pretty fun. I got to meet Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins, and I had a great conversation with Sammy.”

He said that Clemson is “unique.”

“That place is just great, and it is unique,” he said. “The coaches were telling me that I really have an opportunity to come in there and help out a winning program immediately. They are up there with FSU and Oklahoma, and I will make a decision on National Signing Day.”

Baker said he will visit Oklahoma next weekend, and then take time to sit back and make a decision.
