CJ Spiller is the nation's top running back, and he just finished his official visit with Clemson. Spiller was on the fence about taking an official visit with Clemson, but now he is very glad he did.
"I am tired right now, but I am really glad I went to Clemson. It was a great visit. Clemson is college football town. The people in Clemson just blow you away." Spiller was hosted by freshman running back James Davis. Spiller said the two did talk about being the next "Thunder and Lightning". "James was just telling me, how good we could be together. He was telling me they had all five starters returning on the offensive line and just how great it is to be a running back at Clemson." Spiller's teammate Kevin Alexander committed to the Tigers Monday evening, and Spiller also became good friends with Ricky Sapp. How will that impact his decision? "It would be nice to play with Kevin again, and play with Ricky. Me and Ricky spent a lot of time together in San Antonio. It is going to be a tough decision. Clemson is right up there now. I am going to take my visits to Miami (1/20) and Florida State (1/27). I will make a decision after my Florida State visit. I have no idea, who it will be." We will continue to track Spiller very closely, as we come down the stretch. Clemson definitely narrowed the gap with his visit, but this race is nowhere near over.
