Clemson signed the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania (Rivals) with a standout two-way player in Malvern Prep (Pa.)’s
Keith Maguire.
More on Maguire... Keith Maguire - 4-star LB - Malvern, Pa. Committed since: 4/27/18. Listed size: 6-1 210. Recruiter: Brent Venables. Brings to Clemson: The athletic Pennsylvania product showed off his ball skills as a defender and a receiver as a senior in making first-team all-league in both as a co-MVP. Maguire is effective and quick to the ball in run support and is comfortable in coverage. Depth chart fit: Maguire is one of five projected signees at linebacker filling a void left by upwards of four ‘backers moving on after this season. He projects as an outside linebacker but did play in the middle for Malvern Prep (Pa.). Brent Venables analysis: "(Comes from) a very reputable powerhouse in Malvern Prep...He's up for the Mr. Football award, which goes to the most complete student (and) football player. That entails that you have to be a really good player. You gotta be excellent in academics and community service and leadership. Those types of things. Real proud of Keith. He's a guy we identified (early) - I remember I was on the ski slopes in Colorado last February as soon as Signing Day was over for the 2018 class and we identified Keith...Keith is an ultra-focused linebacker. Incredible instincts. Great hands...Just a terrific athlete and a tough guy and a guy we're thrilled to have."
