Here are a few notes and stats of Clemson 2015 commits from last week's high school gridiron action.
- QB Tucker Israel passed for 402 yards and seven touchdowns as Lake Nona won 53-7 against Harmony. He set the regular season state record for TD passes in a season with 46. He was also the 18th high school player ever to exceed 13,000 passing yards (13,153). For the season, Israel has thrown for 3,517 yards and 46 touchdowns. - DB Tanner Muse had three touchdowns on the day including a 22-yard run, 80-yard run and a 98-yard kickoff return touchdown in a lightning stopped game. His final rushing totals was 143 yards on only five carries. Also, he had a nine-yard punt return. He is now 6-4, 218 pounds. - DE Sterling Johnson had a huge game with 7 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a blocked field goal in a 31-21 win over South Johnston. - RB/WR Ray Ray McCloud III rushed 37 times for 249 yards and two touchdowns mostly out of the wildcat formation as Sickles defeated Tampa Tech 21-14. - WR/QB Deon Cain had a 47 yard touchdown pass in a 21-14 loss to the aforementioned Sickles. He also rushed 18 times for 52 yards. - TE Garrett Williams's First Coast won against John Carroll Catholic. Williams had 14 carries for 221 yards and three rushing touchdowns and a 22-yard touchdown catch. He also had seven tackles on defense. - LB Chad Smith had a 23-yard touchdown catch and rushed for 63 yards for Dominion as they won 35-3 over Park View. He also had 10 tackles on defense. - ATH Juwuan Briscoe caught a 67-yard touchdown pass in a 25-0 win over Patuxent. He also had 17 rushes for 58 yards. - QB Kelly Bryant had 287 yards passing and also rushed for 41 yards in a 71-49 blowout win over Palmetto. - DB Van Smith's high school team was down 17-14 in the third quarter with a rain stoppage. The game will resume Monday at 6 PM. - WR Shaddel Bell had a touchdown catch in a 56-6 win. - TE J.C. Chalk had a short touchdown catch in a 65-14 blowout win. - DB Van Smith had a 3-yard touchdown run in a 31-29 victory. - DE Clelin Ferrell is out for the season with a torn ACL injury. - DE Austin Bryant is out for the season with a foot injury. - Note - OL Gage Cervenka and DE LaSamuel Davis was picked to play in the North-South game. - Note - OT Noah Green, QB Kelly Bryant and DE LaSamuel Davis were named to the 2014 Palmetto Champions All-Star Football team.
