Four-star 2019 Nashville linebacker and Ohio State commit Kane Patterson announced a Clemson offer on Sunday evening.

Patterson is rated as high as the No. 6 inside linebacker nationally and committed to the Buckeyes last month.

"Honored to receive an offer from Clemson," Patterson posted on Twitter.

On the defensive side, Patterson totaled 64 stops, 10.5 for loss, with a pair of sacks and an interception last season. As a running back, he topped 1,000 rushing yards with 23 touchdowns.

Clemson has four linebacker commits (Bryton Constantin, Vonta Bentley, Keith Maguire and Greg Williams) but is seeking at least one more addition to the class there, after recently coming up short in a battle with Wisconsin for 3-star Bellflower, California LB Spencer Lytle.

As for Patterson's current commitment, there is some uncertainty around the program now, as Ohio State coach Urban Meyer was recently placed on leave by his school during an investigation into his decision-making regarding a former member of his staff.
