Height: 5-10 Weight: 185 Hometown: Columbus, GA (Columbus HS) Class: 2018
While National Signing Day officially game last month, Clemson wasn’t quite finished with its 2018 class.
Columbus (GA) long-snapper Ty Lucas accepted a preferred walk-on offer from Dabo Swinney and the Tigers while on a visit to Clemson. Lucas, worked out at Swinney’s high school camp and remained in contact with Swinney and special team’s coordinator, Danny Pearman. His patience paid off with a late offer. The 5-10, 185 pounder will have the opportunity to walk on in either August or January but regardless, Lucas couldn’t be more thrilled to be a Clemson Tiger. “It's the greatest feeling ever to be a Clemson Tiger,” Lucas told TigerNet shortly after announcing his decision. Officially committed to CLEMSON UNIVERSITY!! God is good, and none of this would be done without him!! Thanks to anyone that has helped me through this process!! Go Tigers!!! ?? pic.twitter.com/2VOqWgUar9
