During an in-home visit from Clemson assistant Burton Burns on Tuesday night, Athlete Ramon “Ray Ray” McElrathby committed to the Tigers for the second time this year. McElrathby originally committed to the Tigers in the summer after visiting for camp but later decided to take his time with the decision. He also had offers from Auburn, Arkansas, and Georgia Tech.

McElrathby is a player the Tigers have really coveted and could be a long time answer for the team at corner. He will also get a shot at returning kicks.

McElrathby is a unique individual. He has been raised in foster homes because of a bad environment. But one coach close to him says, "Sometimes kids that have as much stacked against him like Ray Ray get very bitter. But this is a unique kid. He just says this is what life has dealt him and he moves on. This is a great kid. He has moved to different families depending on which season it was and each family is touched by him. Ray Ray is a terrific kid."

Ray Ray has his official visit to Clemson set for January 14th and his academics are in good standing.
