Following his first visit to Gainesville for Friday Night Lights, the Rivals 100 prospect out of Chase High School in Forest City, N.C., said he no longer has any favorites. “Yeah, they moved up,” Watkins said of the Gators, who are now even with Clemson, South Carolina and Alabama. Of all the visits Watkins has made during his recruiting process, no place compared to his UF trip. “It's at the top,” he said. Rhaheim Ledbetter Rhaheim Ledbetter Defensive Back 5-11, 190 Shelby, NC With Jonathan Bullard leaning toward UF, that could be what Watkins wants as well. “I really gotta sit down with my parents and discuss everything,” said Watkins on what it will take for him to choose Florida. “And my boy Jon ([Bullard), I don't want to base (my decision) off of him, but we could end up going to school together.” Watkins plans on returning to Gainesville for an official visit and making a commitment during his senior season. For UF to gain his verbal, Ledbetter believes he will be the determining factor. “What it's gonna take is me to get on his nerves about it,” Ledbetter said. “I'm trying to get the best class we can down to Florida and I'm confident I can.” As a junior, Watkins had 50 tackles, 29 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. In 10 games on offense he caught 11 passes for 237 yards while rushing for 270 yards on 65 carries. As a sophomore, he started at offensive tackle. Averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds while playing center for his high school. He is a class of 2012 ESPNU 150 Watch List Recruit. #9 rated player and 5 star recruit based on the 2012 AthleteVault NC/SC Rankings.
