Former Clemson receiver carted off field after scary injury

Titans receiver Adam Humphries had to be carted off the field after laying motionless for a few minutes after a big hit over the middle of the field against the Bengals on Sunday.

Humphries eventually was helped to his feet and was able to get on the cart by himself. Trainers were out for a while, and both teams took a knee as everyone was worried about his condition.

He was ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion after the helmet-to-helmet hit. There was actually no penalty on the play.

The Bengals went on to win the game 31-20.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill wasn't happy about the play after the game.

"We were all emotional about that. Just seeing him defenseless, getting hit in the head and neck area. I think that's something that they're trying to remove from the game."

Coach Mike Vrabel said that Humphries was moving around after the game.

"He’s up and moving around. I don’t think he’s feeling great, but he’s doing better than he was when he left the field."

For the season, Humphries has 22 catches for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
