Former Clemson LB to reportedly sign with Falcons

by - Assoc. Editor -

Sometimes all you need is a fresh start.

Former Clemson linebacker Stephone Anthony will sign a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons, reported by NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport thinks the Falcons will use him for some depth at linebacker and help with special teams. He will be reunited again with former Clemson teammates Grady Jarrett and Vic Beasley.

Anthony had a reserve role with the Dolphins the previous two seasons with a total of 22 tackles and a tackle for a loss.

The former Clemson standout was a Saints’ first-round pick in 2015, where he posted 70 solo tackles as a rookie. Overall, he has 149 career tackles in the professional ranks.
