Former Clemson defensive lineman Roderick Byers was signed by the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday according to the NFL transaction page.

Byers had 66 tackles, two tackles for loss and four quarterback pressures in 29 games (0 starts) in his career. He spent time as a defensive tackle, offensive lineman, and tight end during his collegiate career at Clemson.

He won the 'Paw Award' at Clemson's award banquet last season and graduated with a degree in sociology.
