Virginia 4A North Region-Team was announced on Sunday night and 2015 Clemson commit Chad Smith was selected 1st Team Defense as LB, 1st Team Offense as TE, and Defensive Player of Year. Virginia All State selections will be made next week.
Coach Swinney and Coach Venables were able to spend some time with Smith on Sunday and he tweeted that he was "truly blessed 2 have the opportunity to play 4 them #Allin." Smith will participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 3, 2015, at 1:00 PM EST in San Antonio's Alamodome. As a junior, Smith had 94 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and three interceptions on defense. On offense, he added nearly 900 yards and 24 touchdowns as as running back.
