Josh Watson Swinney said that Watson will turn 24 in February after spending a year in prep school and a year redshirting at Clemson. Watson feels like it is time to take his game to the next level, but will have to have back surgery after the season is over. This season Watson has 34 tackles and 1 sack and had 54.5 tackles and 3 sacks in 13 games last season. The 54.5 tackles led all defensive linemen for the Tigers.

will not be back for his senior season even though Swinney would like to see him return. Watson will graduate in December, and Swinney asked Watson if he would like to be honored as a senior on Saturday but he declined.
