Former Clemson WR signs extension with Cardinals

by - Assoc. Editor -

The Arizona Cardinals have announced the signing of former Clemson wide receiver Jaron Brown to a one-year extension on Wednesday.

Brown is currently out of the season with a torn ACL but will be expected to be a major contributor on special teams and at the wide receiver position in 2017. He had 11 catches for 187 yards in seven games this season.

In 2015, Brown had 11 catches for 144 yards (13.1 average) and a touchdown. In three seasons with the Cardinals, he caught 44 passes for 513 yards and four touchdowns, and he has also been a key member of their specials teams with 19 total tackles.

Brown was undrafted by the Cardinals back in 2013 but made the team with an impressive display in rookie camp.
