Swinney ranked as a Top 3 CFB head coach |
The College Football season is about to get cranked up in less than two months as Clemson's Dabo Swinney and his team will try to defend their National Championship in football from last season.
Sporting News released their latest college football head coach ranking and Dabo Swinney moved up one spot from last year to No. 3 on their list. "We could have put Swinney at No. 2, but we're holding off for now," Sporting News said. "Six straight double-digit win seasons and back-to-back championship appearances, not to mention a pair of head-to-head wins against the next coach, is a heck of a case. The next two coaches, however, have done it more than once." The top 10 college football coaches according to Sporting News in order were Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Dabo Swinney, Jimbo Fisher, Jim Harbaugh, Chris Peterson, David Shaw, Mike Gundy, Mark Richt, and Mark Dantonio.
