ESPN releases 2017-2018 Bowl Schedule |
ESPN will televise more than 35 college football bowl games this upcoming December and January, once again solidifying itself as the home of post-season college football. The industry-leading slate starts with five bowls on Saturday, Dec. 16, including the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl (noon ET) on ABC – one of the 13 owned and operated games by ESPN Events. The Las Vegas Bowl (3:30 p.m.) is the second game of ABC’s doubleheader that day, while the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (1 p.m.), Gildan New Mexico Bowl (4:30 p.m.) and Raycom Media Camellia Bowl (8 p.m.) will complete ESPN’s tripleheader.
ESPN’s bowl schedule resumes Tuesday, Dec. 19, and will continue almost daily for the next 13 days. In that time period, ESPN will televise multiple games per day regularly, including three games on five different days, four games on Saturday, Dec. 30, and five games on Monday, Jan. 1. ESPN’s bowl schedule and the college football season will conclude with the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T (8 p.m.) on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. The College Football Playoff Semifinals will be a part of ESPN’s January 1 schedule, with the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual beginning at 5 p.m. and College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl starting at 8:45 p.m. The entire New Year’s Six and the CFP National Championship will air on ESPN.
