Clemson leads nation in top-150 CFB players list

Clemson is second to none when it comes to top individual talent for the 2018 season according to NFL.com.

Nine Tigers made the Chad Reuter's list for the top-150 players in college football, which was the most of any team and only second to Alabama in terms of cumulative highest-ranked talent (847 total points versus 892). The ranking combines pro prospect value and impact players on the college level.

Three Clemson D-linemen lead the rankings with Clelin Ferrell (8), Christian Wilkins (13) and Dexter Lawrence (16). Austin Bryant completes the quartet at No. 57 overall.

"Not surprisingly, the Tigers' vaunted defensive line leads the charge here," Chase Goodbread writes, "with three of Reuter's top 16 players anchoring another nightmare for ACC offensive lines. Ferrell, Wilkins and Lawrence are talented, experienced disruptors who should set the tone for the entire program's 2018 success.

"Wilkins' decision to return to school made for the most surprising exclusion of this year's draft class."

All four made the top-21 of a CBS NFL mock draft this week, as high as No. 4 overall (Lawrence).,,

Fellow Tiger defenders Trayvon Mullen (49) and Kendall Joseph (99) also cracked the top-100.

On the offensive side, Kelly Bryant (53) leads the way alongside Mitch Hyatt (77) and Hunter Renfrow (140).

Top players on Clemson's schedule include FSU RB Cam Akers (11), Boston College RB A.J. Dillon (42) and NC State QB Ryan Finley (56).
