Clemson fan with cerebral palsy surprised with National Championship tickets |
Sixteen year old Logan Wires of Anderson received a special surprise Thursday afternoon when Academy Sports and Outdoors shocked him with tickets to the National Championship Game in Tampa next Monday.
Wires, who attends Westside High School and has cerebral palsy, had no idea he was going to be able to attend the game. His family will leave Sunday. "It is a great opportunity. I am grateful for the experience," Logan said. "I am Clemson's secret weapon and Nick Saban wouldn't be able to game plan for me." Wires made headlines this season when he amazingly stood up, out of his wheelchair, in the waning moments of Clemson's win over Louisville. Wires told his father, Bill, that his Tigers needed him to help win the game. The amount of kindness that has been shown to my family has been overwhelming and humbling," "Bill Wires said.
