Clemson-Alabama most expensive Sugar Bowl in history

by - Assoc. Editor -

The Clemson-Alabama III contest at the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day is the most expensive Sugar Bowl in history with an average ticket price of $668 according to our good friends at TicketIQ. This is still relative peanuts compared to the $2,898 dollars that fans shelled out for a single ticket for last season's National Championship win for the Tigers.

The next most expensive Sugar Bowl ticket was the 2015 contest featuring Alabama vs. Ohio State, which had an average price $319.

Early projected lines via 5Dimes for the 2017 Sugar Bowl have Alabama as a 2.5 favorite over No. 1 Clemson.

Clemson and Alabama meeting in the Sugar Bowl will mark just the second time two teams have met in a bowl game in three straight years according to ESPN Stats and Info.
