James Davis to be the First down the Hill on Saturday

Nov 26, 2008, 9:56 AM

He says he doesn't know what to expect but he hopes he will get a lot of love from the fans and that we will know that he stayed strong through all this. I think I know what to expect. The Valley will be as loud as it has ever been before. James, savor that moment. Stand at the top of that Hill for as long as you can knowing that you may well be the most loved player in Clemson History.

I for one will have no voice left before the game even starts.

James Davis is as important to this generation of Tiger Football as Jeff Davis was to the 80's.

Thank you James for everything you have done for Clemson.

Thank you for staying your freshman year when homesickness almost ended our time together.

Thank you for calling CJ Spiller every week during his recruitment and telling him what an awesome place Clemson was and what an unstoppable duo you would become.

Thank you for talking CJ into staying even though you knew you would get more touches if he left.

Thank you for coming back your senior year when the easy money was sitting there waiting on you.

Thank you for the leadership you have displayed this year under the most bizarre of circumstances.

Thank you for being everything we have come to expect from a Clemson Football Player.

Thank you for the many games when you have put this team on your back and played like a man refusing to be denied.

Florida State - 2007
Ga Tech - 2006
UVA - 2008

Thank you for guaranteeing victory against Maryland last year and then going on to the field and single handedly making sure that guarantee was fulfilled.

Thank you for loving this University as much as all of us here on Tigernet do.

I will be in my seat waiting on you Saturday. Screaming as loud as I can, hoping you rush for 225 yards and 4 touchdowns.

You will be sorely missed but your legacy will be part of Clemson forever.

This guy is a real TIGER. Thank you sir for posting something with some meaning and merit. I was just about to quit logging on to due to the stupidity and negativity. Thank you for reminding us what it means to be a TIGER. I hope James Davis reads this...someone email it to the Ath. Dept. James...we all feel this way about you and we will never forget you! I wish everyone could have this attitude for the next 72 hours!

Don't forget Texas A&M in 2005. 1st game as a Tiger and we relied on him to get solid yards to seal the deal. Awesome talent, he will be missed.

Man ...I couldn't name all the times he has been the MAN

but would love to see Tiger Nation use this thread to remember what a HUGE impact JD has had on our program. He has been a rockstar in terms of the positive publicity he has brought to the program.

Anyone else got a game they remember???

Great Post! JD has been one of my all-time fav's and

Nov 26, 2008, 10:34 AM

will be a GREAT pro running back.

In the NFL, it's not always the fast & flashy backs that endure. JD has great vision, cut-back ability, and a high motor (as well as good speed) to have a wonderful pro career.

I wish the best for you JD! Thanks.
